First Baptist Church presents annual choir and youth day

ANTICIPATION is building for the First Baptist Inspirational Choir, which once again promises a spirit-filled, annointed and unforgettable experience as they take to the stage to minister in song.

On Sunday November 10, the church on Market Street and coconut Grove Avenue under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Earle Francis, will come alive at 11:15 am to the sounds of the choir as they celebrate their annual choir and youth’s day.

Psalmist Monique Curry-Bethel, choir director, said the choir will not only inspire but minister songs that will encourage, uplift and bring change to whatever circumstances you are facing. They will present a dynamic variety of songs coming from both the new and old school, such as “At Calvary” and “God is” just to name a few. The choir has been preparing for months leading up to this time. She said First Baptist Choir has always been known to be an annointed, energetic group of people with a love and passion for spreading the gospel in song both locally and abroad.

“It’s going to be an explosive outburst of God-given talent and powerful ministry coming from our dance ministries, dynamic visionaries of Christian theatre, young men and women ministry. Sister Patrice Fisher will be featured as one of our soloists. Special awards will also be given out on that day to those members who have given exemplary service to both the choir and youth ministry under the leadership of Brother Adrian Finley,” she said.

Psalmist Bethel said the month of November is a time of thanksgiving and as such, the nation has much to be thankful to God for.

“We expect God to move mightily by his spirit and transform lives. We are inviting persons within the community and the public at large to worship with us on this auspicious occasion. We invite the broken, depressed, sick and those of you who may need to be uplifted and encouraged because the power and presence of God will be present to bring healing, deliverance and salvation,” she said.
