FREEPORT – Police had to be called to Scotiabank after a fight broke out between two women yesterday morning, leaving customers and employees stunned.
The incident was posted on Facebook immediately following the brawl. One of the women was injured and taken by ambulance to the hospital.
According to an eyewitness, the women were on line in the bank when they started fighting.
It is believed the incident might be related to a domestic situation.
Inspector Terecita Pinder, press liaison officer, said police received a call shortly after 10am reporting an altercation in Scotiabank involving two women.
She said one woman sustained an injury to the eye, and was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Inspector Pinder said her injuries are not life threatening.
When asked whether anyone was arrested, Inspector Pinder said no one has been detained but that the matter is still under investigation.
