Pilot held after $26,000 marijuana seizure

A LOCAL pilot is one of three men being questioned in connection with a $26,000 marijuana seizure at the Lynden Pindling International Airport.

The pilot, 19, is being held with two other men, ages 28 and 39.

Police say that at around 1pm on Wednesday, Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) agents, acting on a tip, searched a private airplane that had just landed from North Andros.

They found a black travel bag containing 26 pounds of marijuana.

Police say investigations are continuing.

Innocent until proven guilty. But if the allegations result in charges and are proven in court, I guess it can be said that it takes only a small amount of money to get a pilot to be so tempted. Talk'in bout break'in free up in them clouds. Would be difficult to plead that a $26,000 stash was for ya personal medicinal use.

Another young man's life destroyed because he decided to yield to temptation. Just look up in the western sky at night and see the 'all seein eye' watching over ya
