FREEPORT – Two employees of the News Department at ZNS in Freeport have been suspended by the management of the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas.
It is believed that the suspensions came in connection to a news story that aired regarding a matter involving Colina Insurance Company and a Freeport homeowner.
Bahamas Communications and Public Officers Union trustee Hilbert Collie confirmed that two employees were suspended, but said the union was still trying to ascertain all relevant information.
“We are in discussions with the parties and are still awaiting a full document from ZNS, and so I would not want to comment at this time,” Mr Collie said.
