FREEPORT – Grand Bahama Police are searching for four men in connection with two separate armed robbery incidents that occurred in Freeport and Hunters.
The first incident occurred shortly after 10pm on Wednesday at a business establishment in the Bonded area.
According to police reports, three men approached a security officer at the business and robbed him of his ring and cellular phone, valued at $245.
The suspects, who were armed with a shotgun, then broke into the business and stole a gray safe containing $700 in cash and two cheques in the amount of $1,000 each.
The second incident happened shortly after 10.30pm at a business in Hunters.
According to reports, the owner was held up and robbed of his wallet containing $50, his cell phone valued at $260, and $25 in cash from the cash register. The suspect was described as 5’ 7” tall and of slim build.
The gunman was wearing a grey hoodie warm-up suit, police said.
Police are also investigating a stealing incident that occurred at Scotiabank.
It was reported that sometime between 11am on November 12 and 11am on November 20, a person or persons gained unauthorised access to the Scotiabank ABM machine and stole five cash canisters, containing an undetermined amount of cash.
Police are investigating these matters. Anyone with information that might assist them is urged to call 350-3107/8, 911, 919 or their nearest police station.
