BSC softball playoff picture all set after tonight's game

lT will come down to one game tonight in the Bankers’ Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex to complete the entire playoff picture for the Baptist Sports Council’s 2013 Coca-Cola Softball Classic.

On Saturday, Calvary Deliverance suffered their second straight loss, getting stopped by St Paul’s 11-1 via the 10-run rule. With the win, St Paul’s improved to 2-3 for the fourth spot. Calvary Deliverance dropped to third at 3-2.

But Calvary Deliverance is slated to take on second place Macedonia (4-1).

With a win, Macedonia will remain in second place and Calvary Deliverance will finish fourth. If Calvary Deliverance win, they will occupy second and Macedonia will be in third.

Pennant winning Golden Gates (5-1) already have the top spot locked down. They are waiting to see who their opponents will be - either Calvary Deliverance or St Paul’s. Macedonia will meet the other team.

Golden Gates has also clinched the co-ed pennant at 3-0. They will play fourth place Macedonia at 0-3. In a match-up for second and third, St John’s won 9-4 over St Paul’s. The two teams will meet in the playoffs.

And in the co-ed division, with only three teams registered, pennant winning Gold Gates will get a bye into the championship series. They will have to wait for the winner between second place New Bethlehem (1-1) and Macedonia (0-2).
