Masked men rob employee

FREEPORT – Two masked men robbed an employee at a business establishment at gunpoint and made off with an undetermined amount of cash.

According to police reports, the armed robbery happened around 4pm on Monday at a business establishment off Settler’s Way, east of Columbus Drive.

Asst Supt Loretta Mackey said the 37-year-old male worker told police that two men, armed with handguns and with shirts tied around their faces, held him up.

The victim reported that the culprits hit him in the face, searched his trouser pockets and robbed him of cash. The suspects then searched the office and stole cash before fleeing on foot in a western direction.

The victim was able to provide police with a description of the suspects.
One is about 5ft 8 inches tall of slim build, and was wearing a green shirt with a green shirt tried around his face.

The second suspect is about 5ft 10 inches tall, slim build and dark complexion, clad in blue Dickies attire, with a blue shirt tied around his face. The gunmen had Bahamian accents.

ASP Mackey said officers of the Central Detective Unit is investigating the incident. She is appealing to anyone can assist the police with their investigation to call 350-3107/8 or 911.
