BTC teams with Dunkin' on social media promo

Dunkin’ Donuts and the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) have launched a social media Foursquare promotion.

This will allow consumers to ‘check-in’ using the network app ‘Foursquare’ at Dunkin’ Donuts Oakes Field location, and at BTC retail sites in New Providence, for a chance to win prizes and redeem exciting offers.

“We’re thrilled to team up with BTC to offer such an innovative and exciting promotion that enables us to reward our customers on the spot during their visit to Dunkin’ Donuts,” said Ash Henderson, its director of marketing.

“Our partnership with BTC is all about increasing the ways to surprise and delight our customers, and to engage with them quickly and easily, and social media apps like Foursquare enables us to do just that in a fun way.”

Customers that ‘check-in’ at Dunkin’ Donuts Oakes Field location will receive 10 per cent off their entire bill with the purchase of any Dunkin’ Pumpkin product, including hot or iced lattes, muffins and donuts.

Customers can also enter BTC’s weekly drawing for a chance to win a $50 prepaid or postpaid mobile credit every week, with an end of promotion Grand Prize of a Nokia 920 smartphone.

To enter the prize drawing, customers must Tweet photos of themselves with their Dunkin’ Donuts purchase from the Oakes Field location to the @BTC242 Twitter account, using the #BTCDD promo hashtag.

“We’re increasingly seeing the potential of mobile and location-based platforms such as Foursquare, and we recognise the advantage of using such technologies to create fun and engaging user experiences for our customers,” said Marlon Johnson, BTC’s vice-president of marketing.

“By teaming up with Dunkin’ Donuts Bahamas we feel that this is a fantastic way to create and expand that experience to all of our customers.”
