POLICE were still uprooting plants yesterday at a huge marijuana field found at the rear of Dignity Gardens, thought to contain $500,000 worth of drugs.
Police say around 1pm on Monday, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on intelligence, went to an area west of Gladstone Road where the discovered a huge field consisting of thousands of three to 10 foot marijuana plants.
The plants numbered in excess of 20,000.
A 50-year-old man was arrested at the field.
Police also found a shotgun.
They are looking for two other male suspects.
Sources say police also found a make shift drug house containing an estimated 15 pounds of marijuana.
