Ride for Hope planning committee member Billy Holowesko stopped by Lutra Pure’s Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera, plant this week to thank the Cancino family for their generous support of the Ride for Hope for eight consecutive years.
Each year, water and ice are used in huge quantities to keep RFH participants safe and well-hydrated.
Said Billy Holowesko: “Lutra Pure’s support has been unwavering.
“Even when the plant suffered catastrophic fire a few years ago the Cancinos rallied to our cause.
“We were deeply touched and remain indebted to them for their commitment and generosity.”
The 2013 edition of the event will be held in Eleuthera on October 26.
Ride for Hope is a charitable bike-a-thon designed to accommodate people of all ages and cycling abilities.
It matters not if you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, whether you pedal slowly or like the wind. You can easily participate in the Ride for Hope.
Participants ride to help and inspire others who cannot.
With each mile pedaled, dollars come in and every single one of those dollars is donated to cancer caring centres and cancer treatment programmes.
Each participant rides the distance of their choice; it is not a race and there is no pressure to finish quickly.
