SOFTBALL

RISING STAR

YOUTH LEAGUE

THE need for greater attention to a growing core of young female softball players has given birth to the formation of a dedicated development league, the Rising Stars Youth Softball League for junior girls. Organisers have a history of success in developing talents over the years and find that this step can only add to that success.

Rising Stars is a non-profit league committed to training and developing the necessary skills to ready young ladies for a successful future on and off the softball diamond.

To prepare for the next season, Rising Stars Youth Softball League is hosting a Legends Celebrity Softball Showcase 2pm September 28 at the Grand Bahama Sports Complex softball diamond.

This family, fun-filled event will showcase a Pastors vs Politicians faceoff - a game that will go down in history - a ladies’ legends game featuring many of the stars of yesteryear and a men’s legends showcase game. These women and men, after being inactive in the sport for years, will be demonstrating their skills.

The event is being hosted to assist the league with training tools and equipment for the 2013-14 softball season, which is expected to run September 28 to March 2014.
