THANKS to the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Security Officers at Wemco Security have recently completed a defensive driving course.
The 11 officers received certificates from Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade at the Paul Farquharson Building at Police Headquarters. The course was supervised by RBPF Training College Commandant, Supt Stephen Adderley.
“This is a significant partnership,” said Commissioner Greenslade.
“To the officers, I say make the best use of your training as this is a very important course and partnership. You are law enforcement. There is little distinction between law enforcement and security work. Both are there to protect our communities. This is just the start of a relationship to help our communities going forward.
“I have the greatest respect for Wemco’s owner, Mr Henry Wemyss. Without Henry Wemyss, there would be no Commissioner Ellison Greenslade. I thank God he influenced my life. I can stand proud on what former officers like Henry Wemyss have established here in the force.”
Most of the officers at Wemco Security are former police officers.
