SANDALS Royal Bahamian donated almost 50 bags of linen and more than 40 doors to the Bain and Grants Town Advancement Association last week.
The linen, taken out of the resort’s circulation, was distributed through the association this week to more than 100 homes in the Bain and Grants Town community.
Sandals Royal Bahamian also provided a number of blankets, towels and sheets that the resort’s team members hope will provide comfort to those in need.
Head of the association, Rev CB Moss, said the items were gratefully received by the community when they started their distribution campaign.
“We passed everything on to members of the community,” Rev Moss said.
While the association does not yet know how the doors will be used by members of the community, Rev Moss said there are a number of people on a waiting list who have expressed interest in them.
“We just want to thank you again,” he said.
Sandals recently donated tables, chairs and beds to the Bain and Grants Town Urban Renewal Centre. The centre used the items to refurnish a house that was condemned and then rebuilt.
