A Bahamian delegation recently participated in a training course in the Prevention of Gender-based Violence co-sponsored by the US Embassy and the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA).
The government said this demonstated its commitment to the eradication of gender-based violence in The Bahamas, and would strengthen its social policy and build its capacity to effectively address this social menace.
A cross-section of the public service was represented at the training course, held in San Salvador, El Salvador, from March 24 to 28.
The participants were presented with official certificates at a brief ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Cable Beach.
