FREEPORT – Two men have been charged with the murder of Sean Andrew Smith, the young man who was shot dead in Garden Villas last Monday.

Kendrick Colebrooke, 27, of Forbisher Circle, and Steve Derosa, 23, of Freeport, appeared Monday in Freeport Magistrate Court One before magistrate Debbie Ferguson.

It is alleged that on March 31, the accused men being concerned together and possibly with others unknown, intentionally and unlawfully caused the death of Smith.

The two, shackled at the feet with heavy-duty chain links and padlocks, were also charged with attempted murder.

A second man was also shot in the leg and taken to hospital.

They were denied bail and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until June 18 when a preliminary inquiry will be held at 11am.
