More than 120 Haitian immigrants have been apprehended by police off Ragged Island.
According to reports, shortly after 5:00pm on Sunday, police in Ragged Island received information that a group of Haitian nationals was onboard a vessel just off the island. Police, with the assistance of local fishermen, were able to apprehend them. Immigration and Royal Bahamas Defence Force officials then headed to Ragged Island to assist in transporting the immigrants to New Providence.

illegal immigrants are a serious burden to the Bahamas, This is one of the reasons we will have to pay VAT..They will get a plan ride back home, and next week they will be back again. and if they get away the next time they may even get permits.
I trust the new boats will help.

Drones, drones why don’t the Ministry of National Security set up a drone network in Inagua, Crooked/Acklins, Mayaguana and Ragged Island and stop waiting until illegal immigrants come into the Central Bahamas?! It’s a ludicrous policy for far - stop relying on foreigners to monitor the security of the Bahamas!
