BAHAMIAN ENTREPRENEUR Keithra Morley said her new book Confessions of a Woman Saved by Grace is expected inspire women of every age to live life to the fullest.

As a wife, mother and ministry leader, Ms Morley seeks to empower the youths and young adults of her generation to believe in themselves and create opportunities to achieve their goals and dreams.

Though her personal trials and tribulations may have caused negativity in the past, Ms Morley said making the decision to overcome her difficulties was a better idea.

She said her new book displays her faith in God’s grace and it reveals the empowerment available for young women who decide to live life with divine purpose.

“Confessions of a Woman Saved by Grace is my personal memoir of me finding myself so lost, broken, angry and bitter at the present circumstances I found myself in and the way my life had unfolded during the years leading up to 2004,” Ms Morley said. “Here I was, a teenage mom, unsure of my baby’s future and mine, and then two years later finding myself in the same predicament.”

Confused and tired of living the same way, year after year, Ms Morley said she wanted to find comfort in her past and prepare a better future for her children and herself.

“I talk about my relationship with God, finding myself in love but not knowing how to love, facing adultery and then finding purpose and forgiving. So this book is definitely a roller coaster ride,” said Ms Morley.

She said her overall goal for the book is for every reader to stop beating themselves up for their past mistakes. She encouraged readers to confess their mistakes, let them go, forgive themselves and move on.

“Everyone has made a mistake and we shouldn’t let those mistakes determine our future,” she said.

While this is her first officially released book, Ms Morley said her entrepreneurial journey started in 2011 when she opened a custom jewellery business.

“What motivated me to write the book was the fact that I saw a lot of young girls and women hurting and seeking love and guidance from the wrong places and persons. That reminded me so much of the things I went through and how lost and lonely I had felt. I just wanted to give them a raw, deep and painful experience of what I encountered and how I turned my life around. I wanted to encourage them to do the same. It’s a lot of folks out there who are afraid to share their stories because they are afraid of what people may think and I am not,” said Ms Morley.

If she had to write it all over again, Ms Morley said she would not change a word in Confessions of a Woman Saved by Grace. She said the April launch of the book turned out very well, as a lot of people were happy that someone was finally being transparent with a lot of issues women and young girls are often faced with.

“I think a lot of persons read their stories through mine and a lot are afraid to speak out because of fear of judgment. What people desire now, more than ever, are persons who have gone through hardships, have been delivered from them and are are willing to share and be transparent with those who are going through those same issues,” said Ms Morley.
