FREEPORT- Acclaimed artists Max Taylor and Claudette Dean staged their joint art exhibition on Saturday evening at The Grand Gallery. The exhibition, entitled Perspectives - The Real & The Imagined displayed a wide range of works including oil on canvas, acrylic, ceramics, charcoal sketches and woodcuts.
Both gifted artists originally exhibited their pieces in solo and grouped exhibitions in Nassau earlier this year but thought it necessary to bring their work to Grand Bahama to satisfy the growing appetite for original art by Bahamian and international artists.
Max Taylor is a celebrated artist who has shared the stage with other
Bahamian masters for decades. His work is in collections around the world and he works in studios in the Bahamas, Florida and South Carolina. While distinguished for his paintings, his woodcut technique sets him apart from other artists. He and Claudette Dean have both shared their works nationally and internationally.
