Four males aged 35, 30, 18 and 17 are in custody assisting police with investigations into a shooting incident that left a man dead on Tuesday.

According to reports, shortly before 11pm a female friend of the deceased went to his Jacaranda Street home in Pinewood Gardens to collect him in her vehicle. As the man walked towards his friend’s car, a silver Nissan Altima vehicle pulled up with a male occupant, who fired several shots at them. The Altima then sped off.

The victim, who is believed to be 29-years-old, was shot in the back and chest.

He was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At around 2am on Wednesday, a 30-year-old male of Pinewood Gardens was arrested at his residence along with the other three suspects.

Investigations are ongoing.
