ENTRY 40/Woman Entry 12 celebrate their tenth anniversary of becoming official members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force this month and are marking the accomplishment by giving back to the community they have vowed to protect and serve with a clothing and food drive.
On Saturday members came together to donate clothing to be distributed throughout the community, with canned goods and other food items to assist with the preparation of food for those that are fed daily through Great Commission Ministries International, with whom the entry had chosen to partner.
The donation, originally set for August 23, the date of the anniversary, was rescheduled because Great Commission had asked the public last week for urgent assistance for food items, clothing and other charitable donations.
The entry, in keeping with their mandate, see that it is not only their duty as Marines to assist in times of disaster but as Bahamians to assist each other in times of need.
