PRIME Minister Perry Christie and members of the government toured Elizabeth Estates and met local residents on Friday as the Urban Renewal Commission announced the creation of a technical centre.
Residents gathered at the Commonwealth Mission Baptist Church on Commonwealth Boulevard, where Urban Renewal workers sifted through boxes of donated books. Mr Christie was joined on the tour by Urban Renewal co-chairs Cynthia “Mother” Pratt and Algernon Allen, Elizabeth Estates MP Ryan Pinder, Commonwealth Baptist Church Senior Pastor Bishop Arnold Josey, Labour Minister Shane Gibson and Gregory Butler, the Urban Renewal Programme Director.
Mr Christie was interviewed on Love 97FM radio at the church and the Urban Renewal 2.0 Youth Band entertained the residents.

I really wish the PM's handlers would start doing their jobs and "handle" him. With all the serious issues in this country I really don't know how he has time for the numerous NOTHING photo ops he takes, primary schools, BTC, Elizabeth walkabout. Can you PLEASE get him to spend some time in his office WORKING? He has a dreyload of ministers and cabinet members who can do these political fluff events.
