iCreate Music All Access Seminar returns to Nassau

MUSIC artists looking for a leg up in their careers, for new contacts and professional feedback are invited to attend this year’s iCreate Music All Access Seminar.

Founded and launched in 2011, iStandard’s event is scheduled for September 20- 21 at Atlantis, Paradise Island.

“To artists looking to further their career, to make networking contacts, to get that honest feedback that friends and family won’t give you, this is where you need to be,” said founder Gregory Collie II.

The seminar will have nine panellists made up of songwriters, industry veteran lawyers, managers, producers, engineers and A&Rs. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to engage panellists and ask any questions that they may have as well as participate in workshops and music showcases.
Previous attendees are being offered a 25 per cent discount and new registrants will save $50 if they register before September 1.

“We’re excited to partner with international industry leaders in an effort to help local and international registrants further their music career,” said Mr Collie.

“We’re amping up our media campaign thanks to partners like TheBahamasWeekly.com and Play It Forward Mag who share in our goal of impacting positively the lives of local artists, engineers, producers and songwriters.”

Slated to attend are senior A&Rs, iStandard producers and founders, songwriters and producers that have worked with some of the most popular names in the music industry. The event is designed to encompass the entire spectrum of the music industry. Everything from what a bad deal looks like to registering material with ASCAP or BMI will be addressed.

“We want to educate and enlighten all of our attendees and put them face-to-face with some of the best in the business in order to foster great networking opportunities,” said Mr Collie.

This year will feature Donnie Scantz; Inga Nandi Willis; Kendrick “Wildcard” Dean; Bernard “Focus” Edwards, Jr; Larry Griffin, Jr; Kawan ‘KP’ Prather; Tony G; Reggie “Combat Jack” Oss, and Asia Bryant.

Along with these industry professionals, also attending are the co-founders of iStandard producers, J Hatch and Don Di Napoli who travel across the United States hosting workshops and putting on events geared toward the promotion and advancement of producers. iStandard has been an influential organisation in the music production industry since 2005, helping bridge the gap between the up-and-coming producer and the music industry.

Registered attendees may submit music for the ‘beat battle’ to be heard by the panellists. No music submissions will be accepted from unregistered applicants.

“This is a big deal for producers and engineers. It allows for immediate feedback and constructive criticism from those who’ve been in their shoes and have since gotten placements on major records with platinum selling artists,” Mr Collie said.

Registration before September 1 is $200 and will increase after to $250.

Persons can register at iCreateMusicSeminar.com or call 242-422-2738.
