POLICE in Grand Bahama are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a 40-year-old male of Freeport dead.
Initial reports are that shortly after 10am on Monday, police received information that a woman was accosted while in the Freeport area by an unknown assailant who snatched her purse from her vehicle and fled. She gave chase and was assisted by two men who were nearby, police said. The men caught the culprit and a struggle ensued.
Police said the bag was recovered; however one of the Good Samaritans was stabbed in the stomach by the culprit who escaped.
The victim was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, however he later died.

Are they still taking sick people to the Rand Memorial Horse Spittal ?
I would recommend an aspirin instead - much better chance of success.
Anyone know if the oxygen tanks in the ambulances have oxygen in them yet?

Very sad indeed. He should be honored for standing up and protecting the innocent. Unfortunately it is very dangerous to come to the aid of someone in our society today as, I believe and assume, most youths have either a gun or a knife in their possession.
