Man, 47, seriously injured in Grand Bahama shooting

GRAND Bahama Police are investigating a shooting incident on Tuesday night in the Hanna Hill area that has left a 47-year-old man hospitalised with serious injuries.

Inspector Advardo Dames said that police received reports of gunshots being fired around 8.40pm and went to investigate. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a man had been shot in the upper body by two masked, armed men.

The gunmen fled and the victim was taken by private vehicle to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he is detained in serious condition.

Police are investigating the matter.
