POLICE are on the hunt for three men accused of sexually assaulting three women in two separate incidents early on Sunday and Monday morning.
In the first incident, which occurred shortly before 7am on Sunday, police said the victim was walking with a male friend on Market Street, when two men in a silver hatchback, armed with handguns, robbed them of cash and a cell phone.
After the robbery, the men kidnapped the woman and they both raped her before letting her go, police reported.
In the second incident, shortly after 3.30am on Monday a man armed with a handgun forced his way into a home on Young Street, where he raped two women occupants before fleeing on foot, police reported.
Anyone with information on any of these sexual assaults is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
