MINISTER of Youth Dr Danny Johnson last week lauded Sandals Emerald Bay’s Hospitality Training Programme (HTP), as an opportunity that will “open doors”.
Dr Johnson made an impromptu courtesy call to Sandals Emerald Bay on Exuma, and assisted in presenting certificates to Emerald Bay’s latest round of HTP graduates.
He was pleased by the partnership between Sandals and the Ministry of Youth and applauded Sandals for the initiative.
He also encouraged the HTP graduates to continue to strive for excellence and to be grateful for the opportunity afforded them.
He said he was happy to present those in attendance with their certificate of completion and advised them to treasure the certificate as a tool that will open doors for them in the future.
Both Sandals Emerald Bay and Sandals Royal Bahamian offer the HTP to anyone interested in learning about the ins and outs of the hospitality industry.
At the end of the programme participants would have worked in and learned about numerous resort operations, including food and beverage, front desk and entertainment, among others.
