SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR FREEPORT

A couple of thunderstorms with heavy downpours will move across Freeport, Grand Bahama this afternoon. Rainfall rates could reach 1.00 inch per hour for a short time, which could produce flooding in low flying and poor drainage areas. There will also be frequent cloud to ground lightning and localised wind gusts past 40mph.
