FREEPORT – Police are investigating a robbery and stabbing that occurred in Freeport on New Year’s Day.
A man reported to police that at around 5:30pm, he was walking in the Beaconsfield area when a man he knows robbed him of his cellular phone valued at $119.
The victim said the culprit also stabbed him with a knife. He said the suspect was wearing a brown jacket, white shirt, and brown cargo pants.
Inspector Terecita Pinder said police are investigating the matter.
She also reported that a road check exercise at West Beach Road in the Lucaya area resulted in the arrest of two people, and 37 others being cited for various traffic offences.
