OVERCOMING obstacles and reaching your potential is the subject of a lecture by a motivational speaker next week.
On Monday, January 20, Richard Bernstein delivers a lecture followed by a question and answer session.
Mr Bernstein is blind from birth. He is a lawyer as well as an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan.
He is an advocate for disabled rights, a runner and has completed 17 marathons as well as the Ironman triathlon.
Rabbi Sholom Bluming, from the Nassau Jewish community, said: “Being able to hear about Richard’s life, its message and lesson never to give up no matter what challenge or obstacle might be in front of us, is an experience not to be missed.
“This is a unique opportunity to hear from a man who has accomplished so much.”
The free lecture is open to the public and is at the Meli Nassau Beach (formerly the Sheraton, Cable Beach) at 6.30pm on Monday, January 20.
