HMS Richmond crew members played against Nassau Select, a group of players selected from all the rugby clubs in New Providence, in an exhibition match on Tuesday. Nassau won the match 21-10. The HMS Richmond is in Nassau for four days as part of her seven-month operational deployment to the Atlantic. Entering the Caribbean, HMS Richmond will contribute to counter-narcotics operations and provide further reassurance to the British overseas territories within the region. While here the crew from HMS Richmond will work closely with the Royal Bahamas Defence Force to further enhance interoperability, conduct key leadership engagement and support a local outreach project.
