POLICE on Tuesday took three men into custody for questioning in connection with the stabbing death of Eleuthera teen Hayward Antonio Thompson.
Thompson, 18, of Palmetto Point was found around 9am Sunday in an unfinished building at T W Alley and Culmer Street in North Palmetto Point.
He was stabbed in the back, arm and neck, The Tribune understands. Police were alerted to the body by a passerby who noticed blood on nearby steps.
On Tuesday, police in Eleuthera took three male suspects into custody - ages 32, 29 and 25 - who are all of Palmetto Point for questioning.
Police are still looking for 22-year-old Rex Rahming of Palmetto Point to help in their investigations.
Earlier this week, police also took an 18-year-old boy into custody for questioning.
Katie Thompson, the victim’s mother, told The Tribune that her son had recently reported death threats to police that he had received in Governor’s Harbour.
Ms Thompson, a 45-year-old Palmetto Point resident, said she was shocked to learn that her son was beaten and stabbed to death less than a month after his birthday.
The teenager turned 18 on June 15, his family said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rex Rahming is asked to contact the police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
