A THIRD man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery at Bristol Cellars Wines and Spirits in Freeport on Monday.

Inspector Terecita Pinder reported yesterday that police investigations are continuing into the armed robbery incident, which occurred around 3.45pm, when two dark males wearing sunglasses and dark clothing entered the liquor store on Cedar Street.

The culprits, one of whom was armed with a handgun, demanded cash.

They robbed the establishment of an undetermined amount of cash and got into a waiting vehicle parked nearby.

Police responded quickly and were able to intercept the suspects’ vehicle, a grey Chevy Lumina. The officers were led on a high-speed chase that ended at Pioneer’s Way, where the vehicle crashed in a wall.

Police arrested two men and recovered a firearm and some of the stolen cash.
