POLICE are asking for the public’s help in solving two separate armed robberies over the weekend in which the victims were robbed of a vehicle and other valuables.
According to reports, shortly after midnight yesterday three men armed with a handgun entered a home at Twynam Avenue off Mackey Street while a party was taking place and took cellphones, jewellery and cash. The men got away in a dark coloured Honda CRV.
In another incident on Friday at 11pm, police said a man was at Rock Crusher Road when three armed men robbed him of money and his champagne-coloured Honda Legend, licence number 233942, before speeding away. While investigations continue, police want anyone with information to contact them at 919 or at 328-TIPS.
