POLICE in Eleuthera are investigating the death of a man who died following a fishing trip over the weekend.
According to reports, the victim and his brother went fishing off Harbour Island sometime around 2pm on Saturday when he began experiencing chest pains while diving. He was taken to the local clinic in critical condition and later died.
Investigations are continuing into the matter.
• An American visitor was arrested in Eleuthera after he was allegedly caught with a quantity of suspected marijuana.
Shortly after 5pm on Saturday, Harbour Island police arrested a 20-year-old resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, for possession of dangerous drugs. The suspect is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.

My condolences go out to the man's family and friends...just to put a spin on it...the whole debate a week or two ago about the guy disappearing during a shark dive...oh gee...this guy has a heart attack while diving...guess that doesn't count as quite as impressive or wow as a 'suspected' shark attack. More people die diving and being in and around the water from other causes that a 1 off random shark attack...just saying.
