THE Called to Greatness International Women’s Summit, a four-day gathering of leading women entrepreneurs to inspire women to live purposeful lives, opens at the Grand Lucaya Resort today.
Minister for Grand Bahama, Dr Michael Darville, will officially open the summit at 7pm and Tourism Minister Obie Wilchcombe is expected to speak during a luncheon tomorrow at the Pelican Bay Resort.
Angela Pipersburgh, founder and president of The Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, and her husband, Paul, were invited four years ago by the Ministry of Tourism to Grand Bahama.
Last year, the couple visited again, attending Dr Myles Munroe’s Global Leadership Summit, and decided to return to Freeport to host their inaugural Called To Greatness International Women’s Summit.
Organisers say they expect women to leave the summit inspired, motivated and encouraged. They will meet and interact with industry experts, influencers and visionary women who have broken the cycle of mediocrity and shifted to a higher level of purpose.
The gathering will feature a number of speakers, including Mrs Pipersburgh; Dr Ruth Munroe, founder and Senior Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International; Dr Teresa Hairston, Founder Gospel Today Magazine and The Gospel Heritage Foundation; Sharon Cook, musician and writer, Harrison International; Judith Blair, founder of International Prayer Network and Bernadette Clayborne, Golden Krust franchisee.
Janet Vega, Body Arts and Science Centre; Ysa Valdes, founder of Dove 103 FM; Michelle Patterson, founder, president and CEO of Women Network LLC; Dr Andrea Hazim, Biblical Health Television co-founder, and producer, and Dr Corrine Morgan, functional neurologist, chiropractic, physician, are also listed to speak.
