Crisis Centre campaign

THE BAHAMAS Crisis Centre is continuing its campaign to bring peace to the community with its monthly walkabout in Englerston west at the weekend.

According to the Crisis Centre, the group’s objectives are to highlight issues that affect families and children; to circulate brochures and Crisis Centre giveaways and to share with members of the community more information about the services the Crisis Centre offers.

The walkabouts are held on the last Saturday of each month. The campaign was launched in October 2013 under the theme: “Peace at home, Peace in the Community”.

The Crisis Centre is a non-profit organisation primarily “pledged to respond to the needs of all victims of sexual, physical and psychological abuse.” The Centre also advocates legislative and social protection of survivors and raises public consciousness through education and information.
