• Ya hear Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman set to play Aaliyah in the upcoming biopic?

After it was announced that Zendaya would play the lead role, she was heavily criticised on Twitter.
Zendaya responded to the backlash by stating: “She’s been an inspiration and influence in my whole career, her talent still shines brighter then ever, all I wanna do is honour her.”
The Disney actress previously appeared on “Shake It Up!” and ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars”, and she is set to take the lead role in the upcoming sitcom “K C Undercover”, also on the Disney Channel. Zendaya released a self-titled album in 2013.
Lifetime is producing the tentatively titled “Aaliyah: Princess of R&B”.

Aaliyah, 22, was killed in August 2001 when a small plane she was flying in crashed shortly after takeoff in Abaco.

• Ya hear 50 Cent released a date for his next album? During a recent interview, ‘Fiddy’ revealed that his next album, “Street King Immortal”, will be released on September 16. The album is highly anticipated by many hardcore rap fans.
“Back in November of 2012, while still signed to Interscope Records, 50 Cent announced on his personal Twitter account that Street King Immortal would be released February 26, 2013. Over a year and half since that announcement, 50 Cent has released “Animal Ambition” and during his interview with Connecticut’s Hot 93.7′s The Hot Morning Show today (June 16th) and announced the album will be released on September 16,” AllHipHop.com said.
