POLICE have a 21-year-old man in custody in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Rinardo Brown, who was shot and killed while visiting a woman at Cedar Terrace, Tall Pines, on Saturday night.
According to police sources, Brown was released from Her Majesty’s Prison on April 30 after serving eight years for housebreaking and armed robbery.
However, Paul Rolle, Officer in Charge of the Central Detective Unit, said police do not believe the murder was related to his release, but was a domestic incident.
Sources say Brown and the suspect were both in a relationship with the woman he was visiting. The suspect was arrested, shortly after 3am yesterday by officers of the Firearms, Tracing and Investigations Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
