EDITOR, The Tribune.
When a Government, in the fashion they have attacked the free Press, you suddenly will see exactly what the people’s voice is.
It is very loud – offended and frustrated with the simply arrogant statements of the Government, its Ministers and MPs.
BEC bills – how can the Prime Minister leave Mr Leslie Miller as Executive (paid) Chairman at BEC when he owes directly or indirectly the large amount of money?
Ex-Minister Roker’s comment, Mr Christie, seems to fit your foot again.
Gaming Referendum – I do not suffer from amnesia or dementia, but at no time leading up to the Referendum did Prime Minister Christie or his cohorts say to the public – look this is an Opinion Poll and all that is it. The Act that governs Referendum does not permit Treasury funds to be used for this so-called Opinion Poll purpose – PM Christie knows if the result came out the way the PLP wanted, you think it would be an Opinion Poll?
On Gaming – thought the PM Christie told us that he heard from the Governor of the Central Bank words which scared him – money laundering and blacklisting - this is what he told Parliament, not his latest statement about underground banking (by the way Central Bank can deal with that in a second – surely as Minister of Finance he knows the power of the Minister and the Governor of the Central Bank?)
National Debt – it seems the PLP forgets it never voted against any borrowings of the FNM Government for the 15 years the FNM was Government – blood (debt) is also over their hands. Well tick, tick, tick and the Vote on the 2014-2015 Budget will be called Opposition Leader Minnis indicates the Opposition will not vote for the Budget - this is now new political experience.
