GRAND Bahama Police arrested two people in connection with the seizure of $21,000-worth of illegal drugs on Friday.
Detective Inspector Advardo Dames reported that, sometime around 11am, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on a tip, stopped a vehicle in the vicinity of Freeport Harbour.
He said two occupants – a man and woman – were in the vehicle at the time.
Officers discovered 21 pounds of what they suspected to be marijuana, with an estimated street value of $21,000, during a search of the vehicle. Inspector Dames said a 21-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman of Grand Bahama were taken into custody.
Police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
