POLICE arrested two men – one wanted for attempted murder and the other on bail for murder – moments after they had robbed a man at gunpoint late Monday night. One wore an ankle monitoring bracelet. The incident occurred in the Fox Hill area around 10pm.
According to reports, the victim was at his Freddie Munnings Estates home when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of cash and a cell phone. The suspects then sped off in a Kia Reo.
Police were immediately alerted. Officers from the Mobile Division spotted the vehicle after it had collided with another car on Springfield Road.
The suspects attempted to run into nearby bushes, but were quickly caught by police.
The taxi driver, who was robbed by the men, said he intentionally slammed his vehicle into the getaway car to prevent the suspects from escaping. Police arrived on the scene moments after the crash.
One of the suspects was on bail for murder and was wearing a court ordered electronic monitoring device and the other, Raven Cooper, was wanted by police for attempted murder.
Police issued a wanted poster for the Pinewood Gardens resident last week. Police recovered a handgun and items taken during the robbery from the suspects.
Investigations are continuing.

As if you don't know already Bahamas, you really need to do a better job with the monitoring system. Those wearing the bracelet are supposed to report to officials at specific times during the day/week and be in their home at a certain time and not roaming the street at night. So many of these new crimes and murders are being done by those supposedly being monitored. Those being murdered have been known to be wearing bracelets. The reason they are out doing whatever, is because they know they can get away with it. It is a joke to them. Until you fix the system you will always be bothered with these incidents of crime by ankle bracelet so called "monitored" wearers!!

This story is a joke as usual they don't report the whole thing. As of this moment a man is lying up in the hospital because the so call car the taxi driver hit, hit an innocet car that was passing by resluting the car totaled and the person in hospital with his wife worrying about what the dmage is. Yes i commend the fact that they were caught, but they should not have been out in the first place. An innocent suffered in the end!

Wow, hope they recover quickly. Imagine if normal civilians were able to carry hand guns.
