THE Baptist Sports Council played a series of games in its 2014 Basketball Classic at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Saturday.
The results were as follows:
Evangelistic Centre 40, BIBA 33
The father-son combo of Tyrone Sands scored seven and five points respectively to pace Evangelistic Centre’s men to their first win in three games on the season. Graylen Gray had six and Wayde Murray five in the loss for BIBA, who are 1-3.
Church of Nazarene 33,
Cousin McPhee 31
Perry Lubin and Clovera Fenelus both had five points as Church of Nazarene’s men improved to 3-1. Trevor Smith had 11 and Raynard Minus added eight in the loss for Cousin McPhee, who fell to 1-2.
Macedonia B 64, Ebenezer 32
Delroy Grandison scored 17 points and both Terreno Ferguson and Justin Gardiner had six in the win for Macedonia B 19-and-under, who won their third straight game. Stephon Jones had 12 in the loss for the winless 0-2 Ebenezer.
Mission Baptist 40, BIBA 28
Kamal Murphy scored 13 points to lead Mission’s 19-and-under as they improved to 2-1. Braymond Jones had 14 points in the loss for the winless 0-2 BIBA.
Macedonia A 50, BIBA 43
Alexio Newman scored 13 points, Troy Marshall had 11 and Prince Dill eight as Macedonia A 19-and-under improved to 1-1. Tevin Spence had 10 in the loss for BIBA.
BIBA 27, Macedonia 25
Alexander Scavalla scored 15 points in the BIBA 15-and-under. Troy Marshall had 12 in the loss for the winless defending champions.
Cousin McPhee 30, Macedonia 24
Adrian Thompson and D’Angelo Wallace both had nine points in Cousin McPhee’s 15-and-under win. Troy Marshall had 12 and Prince Dill had four in the loss.
Men of Vision 57, First Baptist 38
Ian Pinder had 11 and both Taveres Roker and Dominique Beethe had 10 as Men of Vision stayed unbeaten in their two men’s games. Gary Williams had 16 and Avery Francis added 13 in the loss for First Baptist, who are 0-3.
Church of Nazarene 33, BIBA 21
Perry Lubin and Wilner Noel both had nine in the win for Church of Nazarene men. Graylen Gray had seven in the loss.
Macedonia B 32, St John’s 27
Lamar Hanna scored 10 points and Terreno Ferguson had 10 in the win for Macedonia B 19-and-under. Jamal Simon scored 13 in the loss.
Macedonia B 25, Mission Baptist 22
Delroy Grandison had 10 points and both Lamar Hanna and Terreno Ferguon had eight to lead Macedonia B 19-and-under to victory. Bertram Minns had seven in the loss.
