BEACH SEMINAR

THE Bahamas Football Association’s beach soccer seminar is all set to be held 6pm Thursday, March 27, at the Thomas A Robinson stadium west meeting room (front entrance).

The practical sessions will take place at Malcolm Park futsal and beach soccer facility. The seminar aims to promote and develop this young and attractive style of football in the Bahamas and will serve as a platform for overall football technical and tactical development.

In conjunction with the seminar, the BFA will put on a beach soccer festival 4pm Saturday, March 29, showcasing our Centre of Excellence children.

FIFA instructor Angelo Schirinzi will be assisted by Swiss International and FIFA beach soccer player of the year (2009) Dejan Stankovic.

THE Junior Baseball League of Nassau is slated to kick off week No.10 of its 2014 season with a couple of games early this week. On Wednesday at 5pm, the Junior League Phillies will play the Orioles and at 7pm, in a Major League match-up, the Tigers will take on the Indians. On Friday, a Minor League game at 7pm will feature the Rockies and the Astros. A full slate of games are scheduled for Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30.
