A FIREARM and more than $18,000 worth of illegal drugs were discovered in the South Bahamia area on Friday, police reported.
According to reports, Drug Enforcement Unit officers, acting on information received, went to an unfinished building complex on Santa Maria and Yorkshire Drives.
During a search of the building, a black and grey .270 calibre rifle and four plastic bags of suspected marijuana were discovered and seized.
The drugs weighed about 18.5 pounds and have an estimated street value of $18,500.
No one was arrested in connection with the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
