POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 62-year-old man in Eleuthera on Tuesday.
According to police, shortly before 4pm, they received a report that a man was found dead at his home in Deep Creek, Eleuthera.
When officers arrived they found the lifeless body of a man with a small wound in his back.
At this time police are not sure how the man died or if the wound had anything to do with his death. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Meanwhile, police have identified the man found burned beyond recognition early Tuesday morning as 23-year-old Rolley Gibson, Jr.
According to reports, police found his burnt body wrapped in a sheet in the back of Refuge Tabernacle on Cowpen Road.
They were alerted to the scene after a man discovered the body on his way to work.
Superintendent Paul Rolle, officer in charge of the Central Detective Unit, said police believe someone dumped the body there the night before.
He said police are uncertain how the man died. A DNA analysis will have to be performed to officially identify the victim.
Investigations into both matters are continuing.
Police have also identified four other men who were killed in the last seven days.
The first victim was identified as 20-year-old Quentine Rolle of Plantol Street. He was shot and killed while walking through Wilson Track around 9:30pm last Thursday.
Carleau Prudhomme, 17, of East Street was shot and killed on Cordeaux Avenue shortly before 9pm on Friday.
The third victim was shot and killed on Gibbs Corner shortly after midnight on Sunday. He has been identified as 35-year-old Neko Lloyd.
The final homicide victim has been identified as 18-year-old Braven Hanna of Constitution Drive. He was shot and killed at Constitution Drive shortly before 9pm on Monday.
