As regards the Bahamian Minister’s reaction to the innocuous reference to the missing plane, why didn’t someone quote the statement by the Malaysian Prime Minister at a news conference in early March after extensive searches that it was concluded that “the flight ended in the southern Indian ocean”.
We are certain that the Malaysian Prime Minister meant no harm to the relatives of the passengers on board the missing plane, and in the same vein neither did the Bahamian speaker.
Another glaring point was why did it take the Bahamian government minister so long to send “condolences”.
A more genuine approach would have been to send a note shortly after the incident occurred.
