Washington Uncensored

EDITOR, The Tribune.

My letter to The Tribune concerning assignments of Consul Generals, paid Consuls of the government, brought a comment on Bahamas Uncensored which is interesting.

We have a full Embassy in Washington, DC, an Embassy has an Ambassador, a Head of Mission (basically the person who runs the place day-to-day) and a person who is the Consul Officer maybe a junior officer.

Therefore, the district around Washington is totally covered from Consular matters unless the officer is exceptionally inefficient.

Now who are the “highly placed people”,’ which Bahamas Uncensored commented on, who have complained that they are not covered?

Her Excellency Paulette Zonicle needs to be moved to a mid-State and from there provide services to the many students and others who reside in those areas – her presence in Washington is totally unnecessary unless for her own personal social reasons.

I really find the photo-
essay weekly from the Bahamian Consuls, which seems to wish to say – hey guys we are working – as totally laughable.

Consul Generals are the poor man’s Ambassador so get out there and drum up business.

Can the Minister of Foreign Affairs please table the Diplomatic Note sent to the People’s Republic of China, the United States of America and the Malaysian Government... if not for historic purposes.
