Performance is defined as the action or process of carrying out or accomplishing an action, task, or function. Using that yardstick, there has been no performance, actions, task accomplished or functions.
The other meaning of performance is a form of entertainment. While the PLP has been hugely entertaining in their bungling, ineptitude, grand pronouncements as empty as air, and general corruption and buffoonery, the entertainment aspect is morbidly overshadowed by the fact that they are supposed to be running this country. They are in a sense. They are running it into the ground, but that's not why they were voted in.
If Perry Christie, Brave Davis, Ryan Pinder, Fred Mitchell and the entire PLP were in a boat, and the boat sank, do you know who would be saved? The answer of course, is The Bahamas.

Is the PLP set to implode as the government of the country? It is not the matter of inaction on their part but what seems the wrong action or not enough action to complete the many issues they are addressing. CRIME, especially murder, MURDER has increased even with the new police cars and extended work shifts and is probably at its highest level ever in this country's history! INCOMPLETE COURTS after some 5 months behind schedule, THE BOTCHED WEB SHOP issue, THE NOW POSTPONED? VAT SYSTEM, ISSUES with Fred Mitchell on gay rights and what seems to be his personal agenda tat doesn't necessarily align with that of the PLP, The BANK OF BAHAMAS scandal, where the PLP seems more concerned with finding and punishing those who leaked the story, rather than cleaning up the scandal, firing those responsible for being incompetent or scandal ridden and trying to save the bank and the equity of the government and private shareholders, THE CLOUDS OF MYSTERY surrounding the mining and export of ARAGONITE in this country. Why were the Bahamian people hoodwinked and bambozzled by successive governments for generations and who are the benefactors of this operation that should put millions in the public treasury? JOBS,JOBS, JOBS...Ten Thousand promised, much less delivered. Amendments to casino and internet gambling, opening of Baha Mar is less than eight months away..no legislation on the books. Then there is the talks about strife and disharmony within the ranks of the PLP..Does the PM have to take some definitive action o show he is still in control? A cabinet shuffle maybe. Not to write this government off too soon though. The previous government seem to let the country's finances get away from them. At least one corporation (BEC) is operating more efficiently and has become more consumer friendly under the PLP. How effective will an FNM government be without Hubert Ingraham at the helm? Time will tell how successful the agricultural school in Andros will be, and if the housing program will get up and running. Then there are $200 million worth of defence force craft on order and schedule to be delivered soon.
