A JURY was selected yesterday in the murder trial of a man and woman accused of murdering a female love interest of the man.

However, the 12-member jury will not be hearing evidence until tomorrow, when the trial begins into the March 21, 2011, death of Elex Tina McKenzie.

Benjamin McPhee 45, of Wulff Road, and Shanice Rolle, 35, of Doris Johnson Estates, face a charge of murder which they have denied.

It is claimed that they, together, intentionally caused the death of McKenzie who was found bound and lifeless in a garbage bag near a park in Glenniston Gardens.

The pair has retained Roger Gomez II to defend them. Garvin Gaskin, deputy director of public prosecutions, is prosecuting the case for the Crown.
