This coming Saturday at the British Colonial Hilton Hotel, the spotlight will be on two outstanding church workers of the Church of God of Prophecy.
Bishop Romeo Robert Ferguson, Sr, and Minister Nathalie Beatrice Ferguson, both licenced ministers, will be honoured for over 40 years of exemplary service in the church.
Bishop Ferguson has served as District Overseer for Long Island, Eleuthera and Spanish Wells as District Overseer for more than 30 years.
He served on the church’s executive board as national trustee and also pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera.

Bishop Ferguson is currently the National Band Director of the Bahama Brass Band.
His wife, Minister Nathalie Beatrice Ferguson, has also been a covenant member of the Church of God of Prophecy since the late 1950s.
Her contributions to church ministries have afforded her the opportunity to serve in the East Street church as Sunday school teacher, care group leader, as a member of the Helping Hands Ministry, assistant women’s ministry director, and director of the Old Aged Homes, Geriatric Hospital and Prison Ministries, Women’s Ministry director and as a member of the East Street Sanctuary Choir.

This loving couple has completed all of the church’s national training courses. They are the proud parents of four children, two adopted daughters and 10 grandchildren.
According to the church’s public relations officer, G Sean Gibson, Saturday’s ‘Banquet of Honour’ will be a celebratory event.
“We intend to highlight Bishop Romeo and Minister Beatrice for their long-standing, excellent work. This celebration comes at a significant time in the honourees’ lives as they both recently retired from leadership roles in most national appointments,” he said.
The banquet will include entertainment by the Bahama Brass Band Pop Band.
